Good afternoon everyone,
I hope everyone is doing well while staying safe and healthy during these challenging times. Routines may have changed but life still goes on... Seniors are graduating and hopefully starting college even if only virtually...So its time to announce our PMSNEF Tennis Scholarship winners.
Our winners for the PMSNEF Tennis Scholarships for 2020 are:
Ms. Delaney Payton
Mr. Craig Mc Farland
Ms. Delaney Payton graduated from St. Johns Country Day School. She was in the National Honor Society and Summa Cum Laude. She has excelled in leadership roles by being a St. John's Country Day School Summer Camp counselor, Varsity Tennis Team Captain, Senior Class Vice President and Prom Committee Secretary. Delaney volunteered at school by tutoring Algebra, Physics, and Spanish. She also made sure to find time to volunteer at the animal shelter.
Ms. Payton graduated with 4.77 GPA. She will be attending Florida State University and plans to Major in Biological Science. She plans to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine.
Mr. Craig McFarland graduated from Stanton College Preparatory School. His awards have included Class of 2020 Valedictorian, National Merit Finalist & Scholar, National College Board AP Scholar, First Place Ethics Bowl State Champion, and First Place DCPS Varsity Brain Brawl Champion. Craig excelled as a leader by being Captain of Stanton Ethics Bowl, Marathon High and Viva La Lengua Club. He was president for the Debate Club, Artistree Environmental Club, National French Honor Society and Stanton Law Club. He also volunteered for Stanton Summer Bridge, Stanton Summer Volunteer Program, Honor Society Volunteer Project, and Filipino Pride Day. Mr. McFarland graduated with 4.98 GPA and has been accepted in ALL 8 IVY LEAGUE SCHOOLS as well as a number of top universities. He is undecided between Harvard and Yale University. He plan to Major in Biochemistry so he can pursue a medical career in Cardiology. (I think he made National news).
It is truly a honor to have these incredible future leaders in our community. Our scholarship winners will be receiving $1200 each. We wish them the best in all their future endeavors...

The Philippine Medical Society of Northeast Florida, Inc. was established in 1978 toextend the tradition of improving the quality of health care. Adhering to theHippocratic Oath that has made physicians one of the most respected professions inthe world, the PMSNEF, Inc. utilizes the talents of its members and officers todevelop clinical activities and to share its knowledge in developing programs inmedical education. Throughout the years, the PMSNEF has been a leader in defininguniversal standards of medical excellence. Its contributions include establishing newmodels for patient care educating professionals.
The PMSNEF of Jacksonville works in tandem with other community organizations and several government and non-government organizations in the U.S. and the Philippines to fulfill its mission. While the PMSNEF began as a non-profit organization that has evolved into a tax exempt501(c) (3) organization, its prime objective has always been to help the needy bothhere and abroad, and to ardently search for supporters and benefactors for thiscause.
Scholarship Candidate Requirements:
1. Overall academic achievement (transcript with most recent report card)
2. Leadership qualities
3. Involvement in the community
4. Good moral character
5. Ambition to pursue career in medical field (Explain in essay)
6. Attending college/university after high school graduation (proof of enrollment)
